Air conditioning & heating
Commercial Air Conditioning & HVAC
Offices, schools, retail and light industrial. Systems that stay up during trading hours.
Downtime is the real cost
For a business, the invoice for a repair is rarely the expensive part. A retail floor at 32 degrees empties out. An office full of people cannot work. A school hall becomes unusable during exams. That is why our commercial approach is weighted towards scheduled maintenance and rapid response rather than reactive repair — and why we will schedule installation and major service work for evenings, weekends or school holidays where that is what the site needs.
Choosing the right commercial system
Multi-split systems suit smaller offices where several rooms need independent control from one outdoor unit. VRF suits larger buildings with many zones and varying loads. Ducted systems give the cleanest aesthetic where there is ceiling void to work with. Cassettes suit open-plan areas and retail with suspended ceilings. The right answer depends on the building fabric, the zoning, who pays the electricity and what the maintenance access looks like in five years — not on what is easiest to install.
Documentation your facilities manager can use
Commercial clients get asset registers, dated service records per unit, and condition reports that flag what needs budgeting for in the next cycle. If you are running a school or managing a property portfolio, that record is what turns air conditioning from an unpredictable emergency expense into a planned line item.

The process
How this job runs
Site survey
We walk the building, log every unit, and understand how the space is actually used.
Proposal
Options with capital cost against running cost, so the decision can be made on total cost.
Install or take over
New installation, or take over maintenance of an existing estate with a full condition audit first.
Ongoing
Scheduled visits, documented records, and a number that gets answered when something fails.

What affects commercial HVAC cost
Commercial work is quoted from a site survey. The major variables:
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| System type and total capacity | The single largest factor, driven by the building’s actual load. |
| Number of zones | More independently controlled areas means more indoor units and more control wiring. |
| Building fabric and access | Ceiling voids, roof access, plant space and cable routing. |
| Electrical infrastructure | Three-phase supply, board capacity and distribution may need upgrading. |
| Scheduling constraints | Out-of-hours work costs more but often costs less than lost trading. |
We publish the factors rather than a price list because a number that is wrong for your property is worse than no number at all. Ask us for a quote and you will get a real one.
